Workshops for academics.
We offer a diverse range of workshops tailored precisely to the needs of academics. Our focus areas include:
Academic Writing
Academic work requires the ability to clearly formulate complex content, argue persuasively, and confidently use different forms of communication. This workshop teaches strategies for structured academic writing, managing the writing process, and developing sound arguments. Furthermore, it explores the interplay between oral and written communication and their application in research and teaching. The goal is to systematically develop participants' academic expression and communication skills.
Schreiben von Drittmittelanträgen
From idea to application: External funding is a key component of modern research. This workshop provides strategies for compelling grant applications, clear project structures, and successful presentation of one's own research.
Publish
Publications are crucial for scientific visibility. This workshop provides insights into publication strategies, selecting suitable journals, and navigating peer review. The goal is to successfully publish your own research.
Karriereentwicklung- und planung
Some of our workshops: Planning an academic career effectively – on the path to professorship; Job search and career planning in the non-academic job market; Career reorientation and development; How to navigate an international academic career
Exposé-Werkstatt
The workshop usually takes place over three sessions. It familiarizes participants with the rules of writing a proposal, allows them to develop their own proposal, and provides ample feedback.
Auftreten, Rhetorik und strategische Kommunikation in der Wissenschaft
Successful presentations in academia require rhetorical confidence, clear communication, and the ability to convincingly represent one's own positions. This workshop teaches strategies for confident presentations, defending one's work, and professionally handling questions and criticism. Participants strengthen their assertiveness and practice quick-witted responses in challenging conversations. A particular focus is placed on strategic communication in the oral and written contexts of everyday academic life.
Geisteswissenschaftliche Doktorarbeiten zum Abschluss bringen
In addition to the usual challenges of writing a doctoral dissertation, this workshop focuses primarily on the issues of academic writing in the humanities. How can long texts be mastered and structured? Which academic approaches to writing are useful? How are reading and writing linked? When is the quality good enough?
